We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, managing transactions, and coordinating banking activities in a dynamic and fast-paced shipping environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Post accounting entries in Danaos ERP (inflows & outflows).
- Review bank account balances and coordinate with the Financial Manager for daily and monthly payment planning.
- Conduct creditors aging analysis to manage outstanding payments.
- Execute all bank payments (Foreign and Greek banks) with accuracy and compliance.
- Manage daily communications with banks for all affiliated companies, ensuring smooth transactions.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- University degree in Accounting, Tax or Finance.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in shipping accounting.
- Knowledge of Danaos ERP.
- High attention to detail.
