Project Manager – Ship Repair Projects

Location: Perama (HQ), Elefsis, Syros Greece

Role Summary:
We are looking for a proactive Project Manager to efficiently lead maritime repair projects, maintain exceptional quality standards, and build lasting client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and deliver ship repair and drydocking projects on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Provide technical oversight of vessel repairs including steelwork, pipework, surface treatment, welding, and machinery overhauls (engines, shaft systems, deck machinery).
  • Coordinate resources effectively, monitor man-hours, control costs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Team Management such as assigning tasks, leading the team, and managing performance.
  • Foster strong relationships with key clients, contractors, and suppliers, clearly communicating progress, managing expectations, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to clients or upper management and prepare the ship’s repair report.

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree in Engineering (Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Marine, or Merchant academy).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing maritime repair projects, especially drydockings and major refits.
  • Solid understanding of shipboard systems, technical drawings, welding and metal fabrication procedures (AutoCAD or equivalent knowledge is a plus)
  • Excellent Greek and English communication skills (additional languages considered a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills, multitasking capability, sound judgment, and business acumen.
  • Completed military obligations (for male candidates).
