Aegean Shipping Enterprises M.C., a group of  N959/79 and N89 shipping companies is looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Assistant Accountant.

Our Accounting team is growing and we are looking for a motivated Assistant Accountant to join forces and help us deliver our goals. You will be responsible for supporting the Accounting team in the completeness of daily tasks and ensure accuracy by providing solutions.

The ideal candidate should cover the following requirements:

Qualifications:

• BA in Accounting/Finance is a must
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in Shipping Accounting Department
• Knowledge of IFRS/GREEK GAAP
• Knowledge of Singular ERP will be considered a plus
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Organizational skills and high sense of responsibility

Responsibilities:

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Prepare and reconcile accounting records (bank’s balances & cash, expenses)
• Post and assist with the processing of accounts payable
• Perform reconciliations of vendors/customers  accounts
• Comply with daily / month end closing requirements and deadlines
• Support Audit and Tax queries
