HSSQE Officer

Sea Traders, a well-established shipping company located in Glyfada and managing a fleet of bulk carriers, is seeking a highly qualified HSSQE Officer. 

 Key Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in incident investigations
• Monitor and analyze HSSQE department statistics
• Assist in the follow-up of PMS records
• Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of company Safety Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems.
• Prepare and coordinate responses to Vetting, Port State Control (PSC), and Flag State observations
• Liaise with flag states, classification societies, port authorities, and external organizations on safety, quality, and compliance matters.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and audits for internal and external stakeholders.

Key Qualifications:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture.
• Prior experience in the maritime sector, preferably in an HSSQE or technical role. 
• Technical Proficiency:
• MS Office Suite.
• Experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of PMS and involvement in maintenance data follow-ups.
• Experience with data collection, trend analysis, and statistics management for HSSQE reporting.
• Ability to analyze and prepare responses to Vetting, Port State Control (PSC), and Flag State observations.
• Fluency in English, with excellent communication and report-writing skills.
