ENESEL, a leading ship management company operating a diverse fleet of 32 modern, high-specification tankers, container vessels, and bulk carriers, is seeking a highly motivated full-time Systems Administrator to join our IT Department.

All vessels in our fleet are constructed to the highest international standards and are chartered to prestigious charterers and operators, primarily on a time-charter basis.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Provision, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
  • Installation of new servers and reconfiguration of existing ones, including hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage, in accordance with project/operational requirements.
  • Engage in technical research and development to foster continuous innovation within the infrastructure.
  • Design and implement systems administration-related solutions for project and operational needs.
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Maintain and enforce systems standards to ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Perform regular security monitoring to detect and respond to potential intrusions.
  • Conduct daily backup operations, ensuring successful backup of all required file systems and system data.
  • Manage user account creation, modification, and deletion per request.
  • Implement and enforce Cyber Security policies in line with industry standards.
  • Maintain a high level of client satisfaction, ensuring all tasks are completed without delays.
  • Apply due diligence in cyber security provisions, ensuring the safety and security of office and ship operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in a similar IT role.
  • Advanced knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and support.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, BI tools, and other professional software.
  • Experience in administration and support of Microsoft Office 365 & Azure.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Hands-on experience in 1st & 2nd line IT support.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles, including the OSI model and IP addressing.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting infrastructure and networking issues.

Other Requirements:

  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and attend vessels regularly as required.
