Fleet Technical Manager

Fleet Technical Manager for London/Athens Based Shipping Company

A position is available for a Fleet Manager to join a long-established shipping company operating Bulk Carriers. 

Suitable candidates will:

• report to the Senior Management
• have a classification society or other relevant background
• have experience in ISM/ISPS/MLC Auditing as well as vetting Rightship / MER / FMG / BHP etc..
• be experienced in incident investigation, root cause analysis and have a commitment to enhancing safety and welfare 
• have a commitment to environmental compliance and an interest in enhancing vessels’ efficiency 
• be familiar with international regulations and preferably Marshall Islands flag regulations
• oversee daily technical activities and maintenance relating to our fleet of 6 Capes/Nukes ensuring safe, reliable & cost-effective operations
• have shore based experience leading a team incorporating e.g. Port Captain, Port Engineer, Technical Superintendents & Purchasing Manager 

The role is primarily office based with infrequent travel to visit vessels worldwide as/when required. Ideally based in the London office but consideration will be given to working from the Athens office.
