Kongsberg Global Customer Support division is responsible for Kongsberg Maritime Customer Services and Aftermarket support.  2300 Customer Support employees are present in 40 different countries around the world. During the operational lifetime of more than 30.000 installations, we ensure cost-efficient and effective onboard services, upgrades and spare parts to secure availability and predictability to our customers.

Our customers demand maximum up-time on their assets and strive to keep total cost as low as possible. Global Customer Support, responsible for the Aftermarket shall be reliable and act when territory customers require system upgrades, refits systems.

We are searching for an efficient , capable and ambitious  Service coordinator or the Automation & Control Business Stream with focus on the territory Merchant Marine Customers.

The position reports to the Team Leader for Automation & Control in Greece.

Overall Tasks & responsibilities

  • As a Service Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in ensuring customer satisfaction and optimizing utilization of our engineers.
  • By balancing customer-centric thinking, with proactiveness you'll contribute significantly to the overall success of department and its revenue.
  • You will be an important link between our clients and other offices worldwide including service coordinators, field engineers, spares & service engineers and project managers.
  • You must ensure that our clients needs are met with correct prioritization and utilization of our engineers.
  • Coordinate resources internally according to KM Business needs and KPI’s.
  • Main contact point for our clients and other offices
  • Ensure that work is performed in accordance with the Kongsberg Maritime Quality Management System (QMS/HSE) and relevant procedures.
  • Be a part of the support operation and ensure that all communication and customer requests are given the right attention/priority and response.
  • Assist KM GCS network operational challenges offering engineers to contribution regionally and globally
  • Decision maker in complex resource priority situations
  • Extensive customer contact and cooperate with our Global Customer support teams
  • Escalate to Operations Manager when needed
  • Follow up on engineer prework and afterwork
  • Responsible for engineer safety when travelling

Skills and Requirements

  • Technical education within automation, electrical or computer science.
  • Fluent English language, both verbal and in writing.
  • Ability to handle several activities simultaneously.
  • Strong ability to create confidence between groups and departments
  • Commercial mindset
  • Strong skills within ERP and CRM systems
