Fleet Technical Manager

A well-established Shipping Company located in the Glyfada, is seeking to employ a Fleet Technical Manager for its tankers fleet.

The scope of this position is to ensure maintenance, condition and operation of the vessels is efficient and safe, while advising/cooperating with onboard & ashore personnel accordingly.

Key responsibilities include:

• Continuous/regular communication with the Master and C/E to ensure optimum performance of equipment and machinery.
• Responsible for ensuring briefing, debriefing and appraisals of Senior Engine Officers
• Supervising Statutory & Class Survey Status and required surveys
• Attendances onboard fleet vessels as necessary
• Responsible for all related aspects of TMSA and Oil major audits
• Review of vessels’ technical performance with technical reports/forms/PMS
• Providing troubleshooting and preventive maintenance guidance as necessary

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience working in a similar position ashore (tanker vessels preferred)
• Knowledge of International rules and regulations, including Environmental regulations
• University degree in Mechanical/Marine Engineering
• Proficient in English
• Very good computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
