Stores/Forwarding Operator

Shipping company located in southern suburbs of Athens, operating a fleet of Gas Carriers and tankers, is seeking a ‘Stores/Forwarding operator”. Successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire order lifecycle, from initiation to follow up, ensuring smooth delivery onboard company’s vessels of  Deck/Engine Stores, Paints, Chemicals, lubricants, Spare Parts etc. ,should be able to compare and evaluate offers from suppliers, negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing, follow up the forwarding of orders by advising Agents/ Master accordingly and verify completion of delivery and collect relevant supporting documentation.

Ideal candidate should have minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience, hold a University degree or diploma in maritime studies, be fluent in English and have excellent computer literacy. Previous experience with Danaos Software will be considered as an asset.
