E. Nomikos Corp. is a leading ship management company based in Piraeus, operating a fleet of bulk carriers with a commitment to safety, quality and reliability, is seeking to employ a Crew Operator.    

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor all crewing functions and operations of the fleet.
  • Ensuring adequate staffing levels for the fleet, in line with the company’s policies.
  • Ensure ships are manned with qualified, trained, and medically fit seafarers in compliance with STCW and the company’s SMS requirements.
  • Plan and execute sea staff rotation effectively.
  • Coordinate crew selection, hiring, and interviewing processes in accordance with the company’s SMS.
  • Implement the company's familiarization and training program for recruited seafarers as per STCW and Rightship requirements.
  • Familiar with crew flag documentation issuance, especially of Cypriot, Bahamas and Marshall Islands flags.
  • Accountable for the ticketing operations and travel arrangements for crew and office personnel.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures regarding crewing.
  • Ensure manning agents maintain the company standards and criteria for sea staff management by close monitoring of their activities.
  • Contribute constructively to the implementation of the company’s digital transition strategy by utilizing cutting edge software tools.
  • Prepare crew-related KPI reports and issue statistics for budget or KPI purposes.
  • Highly committed in Safety and Environmental excellence.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Minimum (3) three years of experience in a similar position.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy.
  • Good knowledge of crewing operations (i.e crew change arrangements, planning, ticketing, STCW certificates, etc).
  • Knowledge and experience of applicable industry regulations and conventions (including familiarization with Rightship’s latest requirements).
  • Experienced with Greek and Philippine crew nationalities.
  • Knowledge and experience with tanker company crews will be considered a plus.
  • Proficiency in Maritime ERP systems.
  • Keen to engage with digital tools that enhance productivity.
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solution-oriented with a forward-thinking attitude.
