Glyfada-based Ship Management Company is seeking to recruit a Marine Superintendent for the Tanker division of its Marine Operations department.
The new recruit will:
- liaise with the Master on a wide range of issues to ensure the safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation of each fleet
- monitor daily operations of vessels
- regularly attend vessels for sailing visits, audits, 3rd party inspections and dry docks
- prepare well-documented replies in reaction to 3rd party inspections and audits
- keep abreast of changes in international rules and regulations and vetting requirements
- train crew in safe navigation and efficient operation during vessel attendance
- interview prospective officers
The ideal candidate:
- holds a Captain Class A or B diploma
- has a minimum of two years’ experience as a Master or four years as a C/O
- has an excellent command of the English language
- possesses strong communication, negotiation and organization skills
- is computer literate, and
- enjoys being part of a team
