Operations Manager

Shipping company located in southern suburbs of Athens, operating a fleet of Gas Carriers, is seeking an Operations Manager to join their team.

Candidates should have solid experience on-board a gas carrier with a strong background in LPG transportation from the position of Master and/or Chief Officer, being able to use their technical shipping background to successfully manage all day-to-day vessel operations .

Key responsibilities are monitoring voyage orders and vessel itineraries, appoint Port Agents and evaluate their performance, check cargo documentation, ensure alignment to contractual obligations, check recaps / charter parties, check load / discharge / orders conducting routine inspections onboard vessels, overseeing loading and discharging operations , manage and analyze claims, and provide guidance to Masters.  

Candidates must possess either a Master's or Chief Officer's diploma with minimum 2 years of sea-going experience on Gas Carriers, along with 1-3 years of relevant office experience .

Strong skills in team management, organization, time management, and multitasking along with ability to travel on short notice are essential.

Additionally, candidates should be knowledgeable in Danaos, MS Office, and industry standards, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
