2.The Marine HR Department

The Marine HR Department is playing a critical role in ensuring that our organization have a skilled and competent workforce to support our operations.

We arrange and coordinate all aspects relative to Worksite Personnel being employed, paid, appointed, joining and leaving Client Worksites, all in accordance with the company Quality Management System and associated work processes and client specific requirements.

3.What You’ll Do

To serve and expand the increasing crewing  requirements of AECMI unit of the group, deal with clients and increase company’s business. Recruitment of suitable Marine and hotel crew as per clients requirements.

Managing AECMI Crewing teams:

  • Providing leadership and coordinating with AECMI MHR teams based in various offices for efficient MHR operations on timely crew changes and validity of all documents on crew portal
  • Ensure that MHR team receives training and improvement of their knowledge and are kept up to date with relevant regulatory changes and developments
  • Check and approve Crewing OPEX of ships and provide explanations to clients on any variance from the budget
  • Resolving crew complaints and liaising with Welfare department. Keep clients appraised on complain resolution
  • Evaluation and screen newly proposed senior ranks

 

Managing AECMI client relations & expectations:

  • Liaise with clients for the existing and new business proposals on MHR matters and report to the CEO (AECMI)
  • Prepare crewing proposals and budgets for the new and existing clients
  • Estimate monthly payrolling amount and send it to clients for pre-funding
  • Regular meetings with clients on crew rotation plans, new inductions and promotions for senior ranks
  • Ensure, in liaison with CEO / HOD and other involved parties, that conflicts or complaints arising from clients are properly dealt with

 

Managing vendors accounts of AECMI – Crewing functions:

  • Liaising with the vendor of ERP (Crew Inspector) for regular updates and for any changes to the platform
  • Negotiate and coordinate with ITF/Unions on CBAs and Special agreements
  • Reviewing contracts and payments of third party manning agents and travel agents at regular intervals
  • Coordinating with training centers for courses and psychometric test as per owners’ requirements

 

Managing AELM integration with AECMI on various AE process and systems:

  • Provide support and coordination in the integration of AELM with AECMI

4.What We Are Looking For

Education: Class A Marine Engineering Officer or Marine Engineering degree

Experience: 5 to 20 years in Marine HR ideally (junior candidates with a similar experience in this field can be considered for the role)

Specific Business Knowledge: Experience in Crewing requirements of cruise industry, MHR operations, Fleet HR
