We are currently seeking on behalf of our client -a leading International Investment Firm with over 45 years of history and a diversified portfolio of businesses- an Accounting Specialist who will act as a trusted assistant to the Chief Accountant and will closely collaborate with Finance professionals, ensuring accuracy and compliance of the accounting standards.

Requirements

The role demands a strong understanding of accounting principles, acute attention to detail, and proficiency in operating within a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval.
  • Post Invoices, Journal Entries and Expense Reports.
  • Ensure Tax & VAT compliance for all invoices booked.
  • Monitor the daily compliance with My data.
  • Run payments and reconcile banks.
  • Reconcile vendors and correct discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation of IFRS9.
  • Assist treasury functions.
  • Assist on budget preparation and control.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries.
  • Maintain files and respective documentation.
  • Provides support during the month-end and year-end close process.
  • Extends support to ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as deemed necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A postgraduate degree or other professional qualifications will be considered as a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (XLS)
  • Familiarity with Softone ERP will be considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language, both written and oral.
