ICT Vessel Engineer

Neptune Lines is looking for a ICT Vessel Engineer to join our team. Some of the accountabilities carried by the role are:

• Provide support to Vessel IT Systems (remote and on-site as required)
• Support on Vessel Telecommunication systems (VSAT/FBB, IRIDIUM)
• Setup working environment for users (vessels/office) including setting up such as Laptops/desktops (Microsoft environment), Mobile phones (Android and Apple) and any other supporting office equipment
• Follow up departmental procedures on purchasing and invoice processing
• Provide support on daily IT Tasks in order to ensure the smooth operation of the IT department
• Conduct testing to ensure that the company’s systems work as expected and train end-users

You will be a successful candidate if you can identify yourself with the following criteria:

• You have earned your University Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field
• You have at least 3 years of relevant working experience in a similar IT role, preferably in a shipping company
• You are a strong communicative person with critical, fast-thinking and with time management skills
• You have excellent written and oral communication skills both in Greek and English
• You are experienced on Microsoft Server environment and Active Directory, in Microsoft operating systems, Office Suite tools and Office 365 cloud platform
• You have the proper understanding on TCP/IP Networking, Virtualization technologies and VoIP telephony
