Assistant Hotel Manager (Heraklion) 

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations of hotel chain. As assistant hotel manager, you assist in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction, and managing staff to uphold the hotel’s quality and service standards. This role is essential to achieving operational efficiency, fostering a positive work environment, and assisting in strategic initiatives to maximize guest loyalty.

Job Description

  • Assist in managing day-to-day hotel operations across departments
  • Supervise work at all levels and set clear objectives
  • Plan activities and allocate responsibilities to achieve the most efficient operating model
  • Ensure smooth coordination between departments for seamless guest experiences.
  • Handle guest feedback, complaints, and requests, and strive to provide prompt resolutions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Ensure the hotel complies with all relevant regulatory requirements like health and safety regulations, labour laws and licensing requirements.
  • Act as a key person of reference for employees and clients as well as external vendors
  • Promote a positive atmosphere in the hotel while maintaining a professional culture

   Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hotel/Hospitality Management or relevant field
  • Experience managing a luxury or high-end hotel and a large team of staff.
  • Fluency in Greek and English language, knowledge of other languages is a plus
  • Working knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of hotel management software (PMS) is an advantage
  • Possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests, staff members and vendors.
  • Approachable demeanor and highly developed people skills
  • Excellent customer service skills as well as a business mindset
  • Demonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  • Reliable with an ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Outstanding leadership skills and a great attention to detail
  • The ideal candidate will be a team player and an effective leader, able to set examples and foster a climate of cooperation.
