Technical/Class Coordinator

A well-established Shipping Company located in the Southern suburbs, is seeking to employ a Technical/Class Coordinator. 

The scope of this position is to provide general assistance with focus on certificates monitoring and the arrangement of surveys. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Keeping electronic records of all certificates and surveys, keeping copies of ESP files, UTM reports and surveys, FFE/LSA/Radio inspection reports. 
• Monitoring the due and range dates of Class Certificates and surveys 
• Coordinating attendance applications to Class Societies for Superintendent Engineers 
• Coordinating Flag dispensations in cooperation with Superintendent Engineers and monitoring due dates 
• Maintaining files and records of workshops available in ports and confirming availability with nominated Agents 
• Monitoring database of Portable and Fixed gas detectors/ Pressure calibrators/ Temperature calibrators, OWS 15ppm bilge alarm sensors, bridge equipment batteries for GMDSS/VDR  
• Making arrangements for BWTS analysis as per IMO/ VGP regulations 

Minimum qualifications: 

• 1-3 years’ experience working in a similar position 
• Knowledge of Environmental regulations 
• Proficient in English 
• Very good computer skills 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Degree in Mechanical/Marine Engineering or equivalent preferred
