HSQE Marine Officer

Unitized Ocean Transport Limited, a ship management company wholly owned by Performance Shipping Inc., seeks to recruit an HSQE Marine Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with our Safety Management System (SMS) and international regulations, contributing to our fleet's safety and operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) Deck Officer (Oil Tankers)
• Certified ISM, ISPS, MLC Auditor
• At least 5 years experience in relevant role
• Excellent command of English;
• PC literacy (including experience with ERP Software);
• Organized with strong communication skills and attention to detail;
• Able to work well with others in a deadline-driven environment;

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Monitor company's/vessels’ compliance with company’s SMS procedures, HSQE regulations according to MARPOL, MLC, ISM, PSC and trading requirements. Assist with preparing vessels for SIRE Inspections, internal/external ISM audits, Flag state, PSC inspections, follow-up non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are taken. Investigate and analyze near misses, deficiencies, and incidents to coordinate preventive actions. Collaborate with all departments.
