About the company
A shipping company in Southern Suburbs, with a fleet of bulk carriers and tankers, is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join their team.
About the role: We are looking for a full stack developer (Java, SQL, React) to assist our team in building enterprise-grade applications and web services that facilitate core
business operations.
You will contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle by writing well-designed,
efficient code. You will support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies.
Requirements:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
- Excellent knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming / Concepts
- Demonstrable Java Programming Language development skills. At least 3 years’ experience.
- Experience with additional programming languages (e.g.: Python) is a plus.
- Good knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL. At least 2 years’ experience.
- Experience with PostgreSQL is a big plus
- Experience in the shipping sector is a big plus
- Experience with Jakarta EE and Hibernate is a plus
- Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework is a plus
- Familiarity with microservices and REST APIs is nice to have
- Military obligations fulfilled for male candidates
