Stock Allocator - Merchandiser

Job Description

• Planning product lines and preparing sales and inventory plans in collaboration with buyers
• Communication with buyers, analysts, stores, suppliers and distributors
• Maintain a comprehensive library of appropriate data
• Work closely with visual display staff and department heads to decide how merchandise should be displayed to maximize sales
• Create layout plans for stores, sometimes called 'statements'
• Profit and sales forecasting and optimization of sales volume and profitability of defined product areas
• Control of inventory levels based on forecasts for the season
• Analyzing every aspect of bestsellers (for example, best-selling price points, colors or styles) and ensuring they are reaching their full potential
• Maintaining awareness of competitor performance
• Monitor slow sellers and take steps to reduce prices or set promotions as needed
• Gather information on customer reactions to products
• Analysis of previous season's sales and reporting on current season's lines
• Making financial presentations to senior management
• Accompany buyers on visits to manufacturers to assess production processes
• Identify production and supply difficulties and deal with any problems or delays that arise
• Assist, set up and maintain automatic inventory replenishment according to demand planner
• Support all teams with ad hoc analysis and queries as required

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor  Degree Required
• Minimum of 3 years working experience with proven record in Merchandising, Sales Analysis and Forecasting  preferably in a apparel/ fashion  retail brand
• Superior knowledge of the English and Greek language, written and oral
• PC literate and strong analytical and numerical skills to work out budgets and understand sales figures
• The ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment and to quickly identify problems and recommend solutions
• Sound decision-making skills and the ability to plan and prioritize
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• The capability to work well as part of a team and to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand what will appeal to customers
• Genuine passion and interest in fashion
