Accountant

A shipping company in Glyfada with a modern fleet of bulk carriers is seeking a Shipping Accountant to join their team. The responsibilities of the role include post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded, post and assist with the processing of accounts payable, post, process and reconciles MGA accounting records, perform bank reconciliation, comply with monthly end closing requirements and deadlines, conduct internal financial audits and liaise with external auditors in the preparation of financial statements.

Candidates must hold a university degree in accounting or finance studies and/or Professional Accountancy qualification, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Strong skills in team management, organization, time-management, communication, and multitasking are essential. Experience with Danaos, MS Office and ERP software, knowledge of IFRS, and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential skills.
