Aegean Shipping Management S.A. is looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks.

The ideal candidate will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances, contributing to the overall efficient operation of the department and long-term success of the company.

Qualifications

• BSc degree in Accounting or similar field
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Computer literacy with advanced MS Excel skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment in meeting deadlines

Key Responsibilities

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
• Assist with processing of crew payroll, reviewing of expenses etc. as assigned
• Update data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
• Assist senior accountants in daily accounting tasks
• Manage ad hoc accounting assignments
• Perform bank reconciliations
