Supply Department Assistant Operator

Pleiades Shipping Agents S.A. seeks to employ a full-time young engineer to fill the position of Assistant Operator in the Supply Dpt, who will be handling all aspects related to supply and procurement of spares / stores / chemicals / lubs / paints for a Fleet of Tankers through the related software module by Nautical Systems of ABS

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role and the Assistant Operator in the Supply Dpt will be using the Procurement software module for multiple tasks, such as:

• Data entry of material, handling and coordinating Requisitions, Requests for Quotation, Offers, Placing of Orders, Deliveries, Invoices
• Safety & Firefighting equipment Certification Data entry, and monitoring of expiration / renewal dates
• Supervising & Monitoring of related software processes and inventories on board
• Supervising & Monitoring Inventory of Hazardous Material (IHM) compliance of Spares/Stores.

Additional tasks to be developed through experience will include:

• Deriving KPIs for lubs / chemicals / paints consumption
• Deriving KPIs for transportation of spares / stores on board (freight / shore handling costs)

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of TEI in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality management principles is a plus
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Very good communication skills in both Greek and English language, written and verbal.
• Very good computer handling knowledge.
• Familiarity with ISO or any other Quality standards is a plus.
• Any experience in the shipping or maritime industry is a plus.
